ALL ABOUT FAVICON
Favicon is nothing but a small icon you will witness in the tabs of the latest browsers.
Eg: A small "DTS" IN http://www.daysthatspeaks.com/
A small "Y" in yahoo.com
A small "B" in blogger.com
Favicon is an icon file Placed in the root Folder(where your index.html is placed).
of the your website space.
HOW TO CREATE A FAVICON ICON?
Let me explain the method which I followed!.
Open a new file of resolution 16x16 px in any photo editing tools
like photoshop or Paint shop pro ( But I used FLASH )
Just create a design of your like or your company logo.
Save it as a normal photo file like .jpg or .bmp with any name.
Open that picture file in a simple photo viewing tool like
ACDsee or Irfanview (my choice) and select save as option in the file menu,
save the file as "favicon.ico" file. i.e select windows icon option in the
'save as type'.
Only thing is the file name should be as 'favicon.ico' this time.
